I was entrusted with a deeply moving commission after a daughter passed away suddenly. Her mother asked me to create a pendant carrying her fingerprint, a way to hold her close every day.
The heart shape came from one she had drawn in a letter, making it unmistakably hers. On the back, we engraved her name and kisses, traced from her own cards and letters.
To complete the piece, three smaller hearts were added along the chain to represent her siblings, and a final heart was placed at the clasp for her husband, her rock, as the family navigate a new world without her.
