About Me

I’m Isabelle, the maker behind Issi O Jewellery. Every piece I create is more than just jewellery, it’s a connection, a moment in time, a reminder of the people who orbit our world.

My journey with jewellery began at the Birmingham School of Jewellery and Manchester Metropolitan University, where I honed my skills in craftsmanship and design. After my studies, I spent four years living in Sydney, an experience that shaped both my perspective and my work. Being on the other side of the world from my loved ones made me think deeply about connection, how distance doesn’t diminish love, and how the people who shape us remain part of our world, no matter where we are.

While in Australia, I was particularly inspired by Aboriginal art, an ancient form of storytelling through patterns. Later, I was drawn to the work of Yayoi Kusama, whose use of dots as infinite repetition and expression of the universe resonates with my own orbs. These influences come together in my jewellery, my signature tiny metal orbs represent stars in an orbit, each symbolizing the special people who shape our lives. No two orbs are ever the same; each is as different as a fingerprint, just like the people they represent.

Jewellery has always been deeply personal to me. I love how a single piece can carry memories, symbolize love, and become part of someone’s journey. That’s why I handcraft each design with intention, using traditional techniques and quality materials to make something truly meaningful.

I work from my studio in Birmingham, crafting jewellery that’s made to be worn, treasured, and passed down. If you’re looking for something unique, timeless, and full of meaning, I’d love to create something special for you.

Questions You Might Have

What does “Who Orbits Your World?” mean?
It’s a reminder that we are shaped by the people around us, family, friends, loved ones past and present. My Orbit designs use tiny metal orbs to represent those people. Each one symbolizes the special people who shape our lives. No two orbs are ever the same, each is as different as a fingerprint, just like the people they represent.

Do you make custom commissions?
Yes. I love working with people to create one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate milestones, relationships, or memories. Whether it’s a wedding ring, a necklace with birthstones, or reworking heirloom gold into something new, each commission is personal.

Can I bring my own gold to be reused?
Absolutely. Recycling gold is something I care about deeply. If you have old or sentimental jewellery, I can melt it down and transform it into a new design that carries forward the memories in a fresh way.

Where are you based?
I work from my studio in Birmingham, UK. I welcome commissions from across the UK and sell small collections of one-off pieces online.
